We’re honored to have made the list of Comparably’s 5th Annual Best Places to Work Awards. These awards highlighted the overall best companies of 2021 in four of its popular end-of-year categories: Best Company Culture, Best Companies for Diversity, Best Companies for Women and Best CEOs. Vena was recognized in every category thanks to our employee ratings. Comparably is a workplace monitoring site where employees anonymously rate their companies in various categories.

Vena was named one of the top 100 highest-rated companies (small and midsize companies) for Best Company Culture in 2021. At Vena, creating a workplace culture our employees love is always top of mind. This includes making sure our employees feel valued, appreciated and heard. We embrace the ongoing work of building diversity, equity and inclusion in our workplace. Our core values are worked into everyday conversations. We ensure open communication across the organization and ask for employee feedback to guide our company and culture.

Tracey Mikita, Chief People Person at Vena says, “What a way to wrap up 2021! We’re so grateful that our employees continue to share their positive experiences about working at Vena. This recognition tells us we’re on track in building and maintaining a strong workplace culture together, one that celebrates our diversity and highlights our One Team spirit.”

Vena, which made the list of Best Companies for Women and Best Companies for Diversity, has been putting diversity, equity and inclusion into greater strategic focus over the last few years as part of our focus on building an inclusive work culture. As Shada McShannon, Director, People Partners & DEI at Vena says, “There’s always room for improvement. In such a dynamic climate, it’s important to remember that impactful work around diversity and inclusion can only happen when it's embraced as a lifelong journey for an organization. This means extending our DEI initiatives beyond ensuring diversity in the hiring process. It’s critical for employees to experience embedded equity and inclusion in our daily processes and programs.”

We also have to thank our CEO, Hunter Madeley, as well as other leaders at Vena who champion diversity. Hunter, who placed 18th on the list of top 100 highest-rated CEOs of 2021 for small and midsize companies, was described as “very transparent, positive, inclusive and very good at listening to customers, partners and employees” by an anonymous employee.

“We’re all active contributors to Vena’s culture and growth,” says Hunter. “Collaboration, transparency and mutual trust form the foundation of our team culture. I’m very proud to work with a team that does its best every day to build inclusion into every aspect of our organization, and to create a deep sense of belonging and togetherness, no matter where we choose to work.”
